Where to start? That's the question I'm asking myself right now with regard to both this blog and the farm.
I am an Army veteran. After 26 years in uniform, I retired from that great organization in May of 2013 and I was completely lost. After a few years in the corporate world working for the man and running my own business, we made the move to Haywood County in Western NC to follow our dreams of living in the mountains. Both of us have become licensed NC Real Estate Brokers and are working on developing our mountain property into a small homestead we can be proud of.
Our vision - To create a sustainable, integrated farm based on the principles of Permaculture, provide education to others on the importance of sustainable agriculture and develop and produce high quality products to sustain us and others.
